Rebels - S2E16 - "Homecoming"

5:19 - Cham:  "If you gave me half the attention you gave this second rate junk pile, we'd have liberated Ryloth by now."  In A New Hope, C-3PO similarly insults R2-D2 and calls him a "nearsighted scrap pile" [9:56].  More generally, this comment resembles what Obi-Wan says to Anakin in Attack of the Clones:  "If you spent as much time practicing your saber techniques as you do your wit, you would rival Master Yoda as a swordsman" [16:30].

8:26 - Imperial officer:  "Proceed to bay two.  We'll cover you."  Luke's comments to Red Leader in A New Hope have the same structure:  "Turn to point oh five.  We'll cover for you." [1:53:02].

11:10 - Zeb (after Sabine says that all Ryloth would see the fireball if the carrier explodes):  "I think that's the idea."  According to the subtitles, Greedo uses this expression in A New Hope; after Han says, "Over my dead body," Greedo replies in Huttese, "That's the idea" [50:44].

11:47 - Zeb (after Sabine points out stormtroopers he can shoot):  "That'll do."  Anakin also says this in Attack of the Clones after Padmé points out a spot to land on Geonosis [1:35:40], and Han makes a similar comment, also about a landing spot, in The Empire Strikes Back:  "Yeah, that'll do nicely" [40:11].

12:22 - Stormrooper:  "Close the blast doors!"  A stormtrooper also says this in A New Hope [1:29:39], and Nute Gunray says it in The Phantom Menace [6:27].

15:20 - Kanan:  "Cham, we don't have time for this."  In The Phantom Menace, Padmé says, "We don't have time for this, Captain" to Panaka while exchanging fire with battle droids [1:52:54]

20:28 - Hera (referring to the carrier):  "Alright, let's see what she can do."  In Return of the JediHan says the same thing about the stolen Imperial shuttle: "Chewie, let's see what this piece of junk can do" [53:02].

Rebels - S2E15 - "The Call"

0:50 - Hera:  "Alright, cut the chatter.  Keep your eyes peeled for that refinery."  Red Leader uses this same expression in A New Hope:  "Cut the chatter, Red Two" [1:45:55].

2:13 - Kanan (to Hera, about the purgill):  "Don't shoot!"  C-3PO also says this to Jawas in A New Hope:  "Don't shoot!  Don't shoot!" [16:27].

15:42 - Zeb:  "Refuel commencing."  Han says nearly the same thing in Return of the Jedi, about the clearance codes for the stolen Imperial shuttle:  "Transmission commencing" [54:55].

18:11 - Hera (as the purgill come to the rescue):  "I don't believe it."  Luke also says, "I don't, I don't believe it" in The Empire Strikes Back, after Yoda uses the Force to get his X-wing out of the swamp [1:13:10].

20:51 - Hera:  "I have to admit:  without the help of the purgill, we never would have gotten off the ground again."  Obi-Wan makes a similar comment near the end of Attack of the Clones:  "I have to admit that without the clones, it would not have been a victory" [2:13:26].

Rebels - S2E14 - "Legends of the Lasat"

4:42 - Chava:  "Everything is happening as it was meant to."  The Emperor says something similar near the beginning of Return of the Jedi:  "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen" [39:19].

4:54 - Agent Kallus (to stormtrooper, about the rebels):  "Move in.  I'll be there soon, and, commander, I want them alive."  Vader gives the same command to the stormtroopers in A New Hope ("Bring me the passengers; I want them alive!" [6:08]) and to the bounty hunters in The Empire Strikes Back ("You are free to use any methods necessary, but I want them alive, no disintegrations" [1:06:14]).

6:23 - Ezra:  "Thanks, Hondo.  We owe you one."  In Return of the Jedi, Han also tells Luke, "I owe you one" [37:21].

17:13 - Zeb:  "Trust me, Hera."   Han also says, "Trust me" (to Leia) in The Empire Strikes Back [1:20:06].

20:54 - Ezra (after Zeb says the two Lasat aren't alone):  "What are you talkin' about?"  This line appears three times in A New Hope:  twice, C-3PO asks R2-D2, "What are you talking about?" [6:51 and 9:47], and later, in response to Luke's urge to rescue Leia, Han Solo asks, "What are you talkin' about?" [1:11:03].  In Attack of the Clones, Anakin also asks Padmé, "What are you talking about?" [1:43:07].

Rebels - S2E13 - "The Protector of Concord Dawn"

1:05 - Commander Sato:  "So we go in with strength, scout the system for defenses to see what we're up against."  Luke uses the same expression shortly before the Battle of Yavin in A New Hope when he tells Han, "You know what's about to happen, what they're up against" [1:41:48].

1:29 - Hera:  "To grow the rebellion, we need friends like these Mandalorians; we could have our route and a powerful ally as well."  While speaking with the Emperor, Vader describes Luke the same way in The Empire Strikes Back:  "If he could be turned, he could become a powerful ally" [53:56].

2:19 - Sabine (to Phoenix Squadron):  "Everybody, stay sharp."  Han says, "Stay sharp" twice in A New Hope, once to Chewbacca before making the jump to hyperspace away from Tatooine [56:08] and once to Luke shortly before the Death Star's sentry ships attack [1:34:15].

3:05 - Phoenix pilot:  "I'm hit!"  Obi-Wan says this in Revenge of the Sith after buzz droids land on his starfighter [5:23].  In A New Hope, this is said by a Rebel pilot ("I'm hit!" [1:48:06]), Luke ("I'm hit, but not bad" [1:48:48]), and Wedge ("I'm hit!" [1:54:32]).  A rebel pilot also says, "I'm hit!" in Return of the Jedi [1:44:16].

3:20 - Hera:  "Phoenix Squadron, take evasive action!"  In The Empire Strikes Back, an Imperial officer also says, "Take evasive action!" [37:19]

6:17 - Kanan (to Sabine):  "There's nothing you could have done."  In A New Hope, Obi-Wan tells Luke this after he finds his aunt and uncle dead:  "There's nothing you could have done, Luke, had you been there" [42:02].  After the duel between Vader and Obi-Wan in A New Hope, Leia tells Luke nearly the same thing:  "There wasn't anything you could have done" [1:33:52].

6:40 - Sabine:  "Fen Rau, the Protector of Concord Dawn.  That's who did this.  That's who we're up against."  See above, 1:05.

6:59 - Commander Sato (about the Battle of Mygeeto):  "That was a long time ago."  Han uses the same expression in The Empire Strikes Back, after Chewbacca makes a comment that's evidently about something Han did to Lando in the past:  "Well, that was a long time ago; I'm sure he's forgotten about that" [1:18:44].  The phrase "A long time ago" is also shown at the beginning of each of the movies.

10:01 - Kanan (to Sabine, surveying the Mandalorian base):  "Well, what are we up against?"  See above, 1:05.

10:15 - Kanan (to Sabine):  "Now get down; they got company."  Han uses a similar expression in A New Hope:  "Luke, we're gonna have company!" [1:15:46].

12:39 - Fen Rau (about the Battle of Mygeeto):  "That was a long time ago."  See above, 6:59.

15:44 - Sabine:  "I call out you, Fen Rau.  You're gonna pay for what you did to Hera."  In Attack of the Clones, Anakin says almost the same thing:  "You're gonna pay for all the Jedi that you killed today, Dooku" [2:04:51].

17:03 - Sabine:  "There are alternatives to killing."  Obi-Wan makes a similar comment in A New Hope when he tells Han, "You can't win, but there are alternatives to fighting" [1:05:06].

20:01 - Mandalorian (to Fen Rau):  "Sir, are you alright?"  In The Phantom Menace, Anakin asks Qui-Gon, "Are you alright?" [1:17:31] and Padmé asks Anakin, "You alright?" [1:19:06].  In Attack of the Clones, Padmé asks Anakin, "Ani, are you alright?" [50:02], and later a clone trooper asks Padmé, "Are you alright?" [2:05:54].  In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin asks the Chancellor, "Are you alright?"[11:49], and a bit later, Mace Windu asks him, "Chancellor Palpatine, are you alright?" [24:53].  In A New Hope, Luke asks Obi-Wan this [59:16] and Biggs asks Luke [1:46:44], and in The Empire Strikes Back, Luke asks, "Rogue Two, are you alright?" [30:31].  Twice in The Empire Strikes Back, Han asks this with a shortened "You alright?" once to Luke [22:12] and once to Leia [31:39].

20:21 - Mandalorian (acquiesing to Rau's orders):  "As you wish."  The phrase "As you wish" occurs a number of times in the original trilogy:  in A New Hope, Vader says it after Tarkin asks him to release General Motti from his Force choke [38:45]; in The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett says it after Vader warns the bounty hunters against disintegrations [1:06:22]; in Return of the Jedi, Vader says it twice more in conversations with the Emperor [39:16 and 1:07:38], and Admiral Piett says it to Vader ("As you wish, my lord") [56:13].  In The Phantom Menace, Nute Gunray says, "As you wish" at the end of a conversation with Darth Sidious [5:04], and in Revenge of the Sith, Captain Typho says, "As you wish, my lady," to Padmé [1:41:23].

Rebels - S2E12 - "A Princess on Lothal"

1:37 - Lieutenant Lyste (referring to the incoming delegation from Alderaan):  "I'll handle this personally."  Vader has a similar line in A New Hope, albeit as a command:  "See to it personally, commander" [8:42].

4:21 - Leia (to Kanan and Ezra):  "Follow my lead and try and keep up."  In Attack of the Clones, Padmé says the same thing to Anakin after they land on Geonosis:  "Look, whatever happens out there, follow my lead" [1:35:51].

4:51 - Lyste (to Leia):  "From what I hear, your ships have an unfortunate habit of falling into rebel hands.  I assure you:  that won't happen on my watch."  Qui-Gon uses the same expression in The Phantom Menace; after Queen Amidala says that Senator Palpatine fears the Trade Federation wants to destroy her, he replies, "I assure you I will not allow that to happen" [1:36:33].  Palpatine uses it while talking to Mace Windu and addressing the senate in Revenge of the Sith ("And I assure you, the senate will vote to continue the war as long as Grievous is alive" [25:12] and "But I assure you, my resolve has never been stronger!" [1:35:16]) and while talking to Luke in Return of the Jedi ("I assure you we are quite safe from your friends here" [1:32:08]).

7:07 - Kanan (to Leia):  "This time, you follow my lead."  See above, 4:21.

7:39 - Stormtrooper (to Kanan in disguise as a stormtrooper, referring to Ryder):  "We have orders to terminate one of them immediately."  Referring to Leia, Tarkin gives the same command in A New Hope:  "Terminate her immediately" [1:03:05].  In Return of the Jedi, C-3PO, translating for Jabba the Hutt, also uses this expression:  "His high exaltedness, the great Jabba the Hutt has decreed that you are to be terminated immediately" [28:48].

13:50 - Lyste (to stormtroopers, referring to The Phantom):  "This is the rebel ship we've been looking for!  Set weapons for stun!"  The first part of this may reference Obi-Wan's "These aren't the droids you're looking for" in A New Hope [43:39].  "Set for stun" is also said by one of the stormtroopers aboard the Tantive IV in A New Hope [6:24], and in The Empire Strikes Back, it's part of Vader's instructions to Admiral Piett:  "Prepare the boarding party, and set your weapons for stun" [1:57:09].
