Rebels - S3E20 - "Twin Suns"

3:02 - Obi-Wan (in holocron recording):  "A new hope will emerge.  A new hope-"  I noted this previously (at the end of the second part of "Spark of Rebellion"), and it's pretty obvious, but I'll note it again:  "A new hope" is the subtitle of Episode IV.

8:52 - Ezra:  "Chop, this is a trap!"  Admiral Ackbar says, "It's a trap!" in Return of the Jedi [1:35:03], and Leia says it twice in The Empire Strikes Back [1:39:50].

11:39 - Chopper deliberates between going to find a settlement or following Ezra across the desert, during which his dome rotates between his two options, which is similar to what R2-D2 does in A New Hope, evidently trying to decide whether to go his own way or stay with C-3PO [10:07].

12:09 - Ezra (walking through a sandstorm):  "Don't worry, Chop!  It can't be much farther!"  "Don't worry" also appears in Attack of the Clones (Anakin tells Padmé, "Don't worry; I've given up trying to argue with you" [1:36:02]), Revenge of the Sith (C-3PO tells Padmé, "Don't worry; I'm sure he'll be alright," referring to Anakin [1:24:00], and a clone trooper tells Bail Organa, "Don't worry; the situation is under control [1:24:35]), A New Hope (Obi-Wan tells R2-D2, "Oh, don't worry; he'll be alright," referring to Luke [30:17]; Han tells Chewbacca, "Don't worry, Chewie; I think I know what he [Luke] has in mind" [1:12:12]; and Han tells Leia, "Don't worry; she'll hold together," referring to the Millennium Falcon [1:34:57]), The Empire Strikes Back (C-3PO tells R2, "Don't worry about Master Luke; I'm sure he'll be alright" [12:45], and Han tells Leia, "Don't worry" [1:20:04]), and Return of the Jedi (Lando, referring to Han, tells Nien Nunb, "Don't worry; my friend's down there; he'll have that shield down on time" [1:27:18]).

Rebels - S3E19 - "Double Agent Droid"

0:05 - Wedge:  "Don't worry, Phoenix Leader; we'll be back with those codes before you know it."  "Don't worry" also appears in Attack of the Clones (Anakin tells Padmé, "Don't worry; I've given up trying to argue with you" [1:36:02]), Revenge of the Sith (C-3PO tells Padmé, "Don't worry; I'm sure he'll be alright," referring to Anakin [1:24:00], and a clone trooper tells Bail Organa, "Don't worry; the situation is under control [1:24:35]), A New Hope (Obi-Wan tells R2-D2, "Oh, don't worry; he'll be alright," referring to Luke [30:17]; Han tells Chewbacca, "Don't worry, Chewie; I think I know what he [Luke] has in mind" [1:12:12]; and Han tells Leia, "Don't worry; she'll hold together," referring to the Millennium Falcon [1:34:57]), The Empire Strikes Back (C-3PO tells R2, "Don't worry about Master Luke; I'm sure he'll be alright" [12:45], and Han tells Leia, "Don't worry" [1:20:04]), and Return of the Jedi (Lando, referring to Han, tells Nien Nunb, "Don't worry; my friend's down there; he'll have that shield down on time" [1:27:18]).

0:17 - Hera (mostly to Zeb):  "Let's cut the chatter; we've got a job to do."  Red Leader uses this same expression in A New Hope:  "Cut the chatter, Red Two" [1:45:55].

2:50 - AP-5 (arguing with Chopper):  "No, you follow my lead" and 3:10 "I told you to follow my lead."  In Attack of the Clones, Padmé says the same thing to Anakin after they land on Geonosis:  "Look, whatever happens out there, follow my lead" [1:35:51].

7:40 - Imperial Technician (to the Controller, after explaining that AP-5 stole clearance codes for Lothal):  "There is a danger."  An Imperial officer also says this to Tarkin in A New Hope:  "We've analyzed their attack, sir, and there is a danger" [1:51:03].

14:46 - Hera:  "Next time, AP, we'll listen to you; I promise."  In The Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan tells Anakin, "You will be a Jedi; I promise" [2:07:43], and in Revenge of the Sith, Padmé tells Anakin, "I'm not gonna die in childbirth, Ani; I promise you," and he replies, "No, I promise you" [53:46].  Later, Anakin also tells her, "Things will be different; I promise" [1:29:13].

19:05 - Hera:  "Hey, you, Imperial sleemo, keep your hands off my droid!"  Anakin also uses the Huttese insult sleemo in The Phantom Menace; according to the subtitles, after Sebulba tells him, "You won't walk away from this one, you slave scum," he replies, "Don't count on it, slime ball" [57:26].

Rebels - S3E18 - "Secret Cargo"

4:01 - Hera (after Ezra's distracted by ships exiting hyperspace):  "Nevermind, stay on target!"  One of the Gold Squadron pilot also says, "Stay on target" in A New Hope [1:50:43].

4:37 - Erskin Semaj:  "Captain Syndulla, I presume?"  Perhaps just coincidentally, this has the same structure as Henry Stanley's famous greeting "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?"

11:06 - Thrawn (to Governor Pryce):  "Take Admiral Konstantine to the far side of the nebula and wait there.  When our fighters flush the Rebels out into the open, you'll be in position to capture Senator Mon Mothma alive.  She could be our key to locating the true Rebel fleet."
Pryce:  "As you wish, Grand Admiral."

There are two echoes to note here:  Palpatine's instructions to Vader in Return of the Jedi begin in a similar way:  "Send the fleet to the far side of Endor; there it will stay until called for" [53:44], and the phrase "As you wish" occurs a number of times in the original trilogy:  in A New Hope, Vader says it after Tarkin asks him to release General Motti from his Force choke [38:45]; in The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett says it after Vader warns the bounty hunters against disintegrations [1:06:22]; in Return of the Jedi, Vader says it twice more in conversations with the Emperor [39:16 and 1:07:38], and Admiral Piett says it to Vader ("As you wish, my lord") [56:13].  In The Phantom Menace, Nute Gunray says, "As you wish" at the end of a conversation with Darth Sidious [5:04], and in Revenge of the Sith, Captain Typho says, "As you wish, my lady," to Padmé [1:41:23].

14:24 - Hera (to Gold Leader):  "Put all power in your deflector screens."  Gold Leader himself says something similar as the Y-wings begin their run on the Death Star in A New Hope:  "Switch all power to front deflector screen.  Switch all power to front deflector screen." [1:49:42]

17:58 - Zeb:  "Hera, what's the plan!?"
Hera:  "We're not gonna be able to break free.  I'm sorry, Senator; I'm going to have to shut her down."

There are two echoes, here, too.  In A New Hope, Han asks Luke almost the same thing:  "What's your plan?" [1:11:56].  Earlier, when the Millennium Falcon is caught in a tractor beam, Han has the same response:  "There's nothing I can do about it, kid; I'm full power.  I'm gonna have to shut down." [1:04:57]

18:34 - Hera (to Ezra):  "We're caught in a tractor beam.  Can you break us free?"  Han gives the same explanation in A New Hope:  "We're caught in a tractor beam; it's pullin' us in" [1:04:53].

19:52 - Erskin:  "We're coming up on the rendezvous point."  In A New Hope, Han uses the same expression when he says, "Looks like we're coming up on Alderaan" [1:02:27].

Rebels - S3E17 - "Through Imperial Eyes"

1:25 - Ezra (in disguise, to Kallus):  "What are you looking at, Imperial scum?"  Insults involving scum also appear in The Phantom Menace (before the podrace, Sebulba tells Anakin in Huttese, "You won't walk away from this one, you slave scum" [57:20]), Revenge of the Sith (General Grievous calls Anakin "Jedi scum" [19:12]), The Empire Strikes Back (Admiral Piett remarks, "Bounty hunters!?  We don't need their scum." [1:05:52]), and Return of the Jedi (an Imperial officer says, "You rebel scum" [1:33:51]).

2:06 - Kallus (to a pair of stormtroopers):  "Leave us.  I'll interrogate him myself."  Palpatine says this twice in the movies:  "Leave us" to his entourage at the opera in Revenge of the Sith [43:44] and "Guards, leave us" to the Imperial guards in Return of the Jedi [1:30:55].

5:04 - Rex (after Chopper says he's on Thrawn's Star Destroyer):  "What in blazes are you doing there!?"  Obi-Wan says nearly the same thing in Attack of the Clones:  "What in the blazes is he [Anakin] doing there [on Tatooine]?" [1:22:27].

7:43 - Thrawn:  "A traitor in our ranks is feeding the Rebels information.  That is the only logical explanation for their success and our failure."  Leia uses nearly the same expression in A New Hope, after telling Han that the Imperials let them go:  "It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape" [1:36:44].

16:30 - Rex (as he and Kanan drop out of hyperspace to land on Thrawn's Star Destroyer):  "Well, here goes nothin'."  Lando also says, "Here's goes nothing" as he pilots the Millennium Falcon into the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi [1:57:45].

16:34 - The framing here is roughly the same as that in a shot in Return of the Jedi [54:27], just with the Star Destroyer facing the opposite direction:

(The same is also done with Kanan and Rex in S2E9 "Stealth Strike.")

18:46 - Lyste (after Kallus accuses him of being the Rebel spy):  "What are you talking about?"  This line appears three times in A New Hope:  twice, C-3PO asks R2-D2, "What are you talking about?" [6:51 and 9:47], and later, in response to Luke's urge to rescue Leia, Han asks, "What are you talkin' about?" [1:11:03].  In Attack of the Clones, Anakin also asks Padmé, "What are you talking about?" [1:43:07].

18:48 - Yularen (to stormtroopers, referring to Lyste):  "Take him away!"  In The Phantom Menace, Nute Gunray commands, "Take him away," to a pair of battle droids, referring to Sio Bibble [1:18:19], and in Attack of the Clone, Jango Fett says, "Take him away" to battle droids, referring to Anakin [1:42:30].

19:59 - Thrawn (after Yularen says that "things have fallen into place a little too perfectly"):  "I agree."  In Revenge of the Sith, Yoda also says, "I agree" (once to Ki-Adi-Mundi's suggestion that it's Obi-Wan who should confront Grievous [49:09] and once to Obi-Wan's suggestion to turn off the retreat message coming from the Jedi temple [1:30:50]), and Anakin says it after Palpatine explains that the Jedi would kill the two of them and the senators [1:17:36].

Rebels - S3E16 - "Legacy of Mandalore"

3:54 - Sabine (to Tristan):  "I'll explain everything; I promise."  In The Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan tells Anakin, "You will be a Jedi; I promise" [2:07:43], and in Revenge of the Sith, Padmé tells Anakin, "I'm not gonna die in childbirth, Ani; I promise you," and he replies, "No, I promise you" [53:46].  Later, Anakin also tells her, "Things will be different; I promise" [1:29:13].

4:30 - Tristan:  "You shouldn't have come back, Sabine."  Vader also says this to Obi-Wan in A New Hope:  "You should not have come back" [1:31:00].

10:15 - Sabine (to her mother):  "Look, the Rebels are planning something, and we need your help."  The same phrase appears in The Phantom Menace (Queen Amidala tells Jar Jar, "I need your help" [1:37:55]), Revenge of the Sith (Obi-Wan says, "Padmé, I need your help" [1:38:44]); and A New Hope (Obi-Wan says, "I need your help, Luke.  She [Leia] needs your help." [36:03]).

14:55 - Ursa (after Gar Saxon says she "consorted with known traitors"):  "What are you talking about?"  This line appears three times in A New Hope:  twice, C-3PO asks R2-D2, "What are you talking about?" [6:51 and 9:47], and later, in response to Luke's urge to rescue Leia, Han asks, "What are you talkin' about?" [1:11:03].  In Attack of the Clones, Anakin also asks Padmé, "What are you talking about?" [1:43:07].
